As soon as we got engaged and had set our wedding date, my first thought was THE dress!! White Bride was by far the best experience for me of all the bridal shops I visited. There was a wonderful variety of designer dresses to choose from, each designer offered something different, there was definitely a dress to suit everyone, whatever the style or theme of your wedding. Sally's professionalism and attention to detail made me feel very special, I really felt I could trust her honest opinion in helping me find my dream dress.
Our wedding day theme was country/rustic with a cricket influence as Neilson plays for our local cricket team Cresselly every summer. We wanted a traditional church wedding with our reception being held in a marquee in the garden on our family farm.
My dress had to be versatile, it had to be suitable for the church ceremony, I had to be able to move easily in it around the marquee and garden and especially as we wanted some of our photographs to be taken in a corn field overlooking the farm.
I tried on some beautiful dresses in White Bride after discussing with Sally what I was looking for. Every dress was pinned to fit me perfectly so I could get the full impact of the dress when I looked in the mirror. When I tried on 'Etta' by Charlotte Balbier, I knew instantly that this was THE dress!! It was perfect, a simple fitted design with a lovely sheen to the fabric and a pretty lace top which could be taken off and a sash added around the waist which gave the dress a completely different look for the evening. I was so excited!
Sally then helped me choose the accessories, a beautiful sheer veil with tiny sparkling diamante, a delicate headband which matched the dress perfectly and the most comfortable Rachel Simpson shoes...a fantastic experience!
I had a dress fitting about three months before my wedding day and again received the best attention from Sally. My last dress fitting was so exciting, seeing everything altogether and fitting perfectly. Our wedding day was everything I had dreamed it would be, the sun was shining...I felt amazing!
